DSO Project: New dataset 'Consumption per DK36/DK19 Industry Code per Hour' available
2025-09-03
A new dataset of the DSO Project (see below) is now available without data. It is related to the new organization on Energi Data Service: DSO Electricity.
Key dates and changes As of 2025-09-03, the following dataset is available on Energi Data Service without data, allowing users to prepare the transition from old to new datasets:
- Consumption per DK36/DK19 Industry Code per Hour (technical name: ConsumptionDK3619IndustryHour)
Metadata will be adjusted later in September.
The data delivery in the new datasets will begin on **2025-09...
 Rate Limit Implementation Postponed
2025-08-29
We have temporarily rolled back the recent rate limit (request limit) changes due to some unintended side effects.
Please note that this does not mean rate limits will remain unchanged going forward. The implementation has only been postponed until a stable and cleaner solution is in place.
We encourage you to review your code and make any necessary adjustments to comply with the upcoming rate limits, so you are prepared once the changes are reintroduced.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Reimplementation date: TBD
For more information, please see our other news updates on the rate limit on this page.
 Review Your Integrations
2025-08-28
Our new rate limit is now in effect to enforce the intended purpose of the service. We are currently experiencing a higher number of failed calls than expected, mainly due to retries.
Please review your code, Home Assistant integrations, or other systems calling our service. Retry policies triggered by failed calls can increase load and affect stability.
Reminder: Our API Guide states that the Energi Data Service is a data source. Data must be retrieved locally before sharing with other vendors - it cannot be used as a database. Violating these rules can result in your connection being closed.
 Multiple production datasets not updating
2025-08-27
The datasets Production and Consumption - Settlement, Declaration, Production Types and Emissions per Hour and Production per Municipality are currently not updating because part of the source data is unavailable. The data was last updated on 13 August 2025.
We are working to resolve the issue.
New dataset: Countertrade in 15-Minute Resolution
2025-08-12
As part of the transition to 15-minute Market Time Units (MTU), the current dataset Countertrade Procured in Intraday will be discontinued and replaced by a new dataset with the same title but a different URL: Countertrade Procured in Intraday.
Key dates and changes
- Column names have been updated - “Hour” columns are now “Time” columns.
- As of 2025-08-12, the new dataset is available on Energi Data Service without data, allowing users to prepare for the upcoming transition.
- The data delivery in the new dataset will begin on **2025-...
Updated 26-08: The number of accepted API requests has been adjusted on August 26, 2025
2025-08-12
Updated 26-08-2025: The number of accepted API requests has been adjusted to 1 request per dataset per minute per unique IP address.
Updated 19-08-2025 with new date: The update of the limits on requests will be rolled back this afternoon (August 19), but will be implemented again next Tuesday August 26, 2025.
We are experiencing an increase in resource consumption due to unnecessary API calls. As our goal is to allocate resources toward delivering more valuable data rather than supporting non-valuable usage, we will adjust the number of accepted API requests.
As of August 26, 2025, the number of accepted requests per unique IP address will be adjusted to 1 request pe...
Connection Points in the Electricity Grid not updating

DSO Project: New datasets on electricity consumption and production
2025-07-16
The Danish distribution system operators (DSOs) are supplying Energi Data Service with data on consumption and production in accordance with the regulation Bekendtgørelse om frisættelse af eldata.
As a result, several new datasets published on Energi Data Service during 2025 will become the responsibility of the DSOs. Also, new methods for anonymizing data will be implemented.
The new datasets will replace corresponding existing datasets, which will be deleted (see list below). The new datasets will contain historical data.
The new datasets will initially be published without data, to allow for a smooth transition from old to new....
